Funky synth-poppish LP from 1982,
exposing a wide variety/mix of styles (typical ndw "weirdness" to speak off...)
Pretty much what a seller's description over at Discogs states about it:
"Totally wicked Minimal Sequenzer Fun !!! Tip ! For fans of Silvia; Monopol ..."
Released on the same label which was responsible for stuff like Die Idole,
and also early material from Videoclips, Lichtblick etc etc...

Hey,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! So man great music never heard before. Again and again absolutly unknown NDW. Please don't stop posting this music, because there's lot of great music forever forgotten if not people like you post it. Maybe you have the album Deutsche Amouren from the band Videoclips?
Many Greetz from Germany
Sorry, i don't have that one. Lots of people have it in their wantlist on Discogs though,
ReplyDeletehence, i'd say it will surface sooner or later.
I'm also kinda interested in listening Tomas Friedrich's "Einstieg" from that label,
judging by it's tracks' names...it should be a pretty funny/cool release... :-)
I had someone tell me they would rip the Videoclips LP for me once, but they ended up flaking on me. Too bad.
ReplyDeleteA little patience is all thats required ;)
Yeah,
ReplyDeletethe only song from Tomas Friedrich that's online is from the compilation Abgang Innen Senkrecht and that's why I'm looking too for his album. The 3 NDW albums from the label Steyrer Disco are really rare. And this label is absolutly unknown. But it seems to be the try of Ralph Siegel, the german king of schlager (as a writer, not as a singer), to make a little bit money with NDW music. Because the studio of Steyrer Disco is in munich probably nearly the the studio of Ralph Siegel. And the 7" "Tippen Ein" from "New Production Goes To Munich" was 1987 a try of Ralph Siegel with late NDW.
Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteFrom Videoclips, i like the track from the Mannheim Lacht comp,
their 7" doesn't really impress me much.
If their lp is in the same vein, it should worth it...
"Tippen Ein" is very commercial-oriented to my ears...kinda like ndw goes italo,
makes no surprise now that you've provided that info above...
You're right. The track from the Mannheim Lacht compilation is really great. We'll know whether the lp is great too if anybody will offer it to download ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've got a very short version of the original version of Tippen Ein from 1986. The both guys where 14 years old in 1986 and they send a mc with the minimal home organ version of Tippen Ein to a radio show, where they were discovered by Thomas Gottschalk (famous german TV moderator). They could meet Ralph Siegel and he and the producer made a mainstream compatible version of the song.
